St. Matthias Episcopal Church is offsite COVID vaccine clinic for Stephens County Health Department

As a reminder the Stephens County Health Department is now using St. Matthias Episcopal Church, located at 995 East Tugalo Street, as its offsite clinic for COVID vaccines.

District 2 Public Health recently announced its decision to move COVID-19 Vaccinations to offsite clinics.

According to District 2 Public Health Public Information Officer Dave Palmer the health departments have coordinated with their community partners to locate vaccine clinics that have larger spaces, in hopes of maximizing efficiency for vaccine delivery.

He says this move will allow their staff to provide both first and second doses at one location.

Having a larger space than the health departments, will also give them flexibility to vaccinate more people each day, especially when vaccine becomes more readily available.

Appointments will still be required to get vaccinated at the new clinic sites.

Again, in Stephens County, St. Matthias Episcopal Church, is the offsite clinic for Stephens County’s Health Department.

In Habersham County, the Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center is operating as the offsite clinic.

In Franklin County, the Franklin County Recreation Department, is the offsite clinic.

Essential services such as: immunizations for school, women’s health services, and communicable disease services will be available at the health departments.
