Speeding is Deadly

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reminds all drivers to slow down as nearly one-third of all traffic deaths each year are speeding-related, says National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Chief Counsel Peter Simshauser.

Speeding reduces reaction times, adds Simshauser.

Simshauser says speeding puts everyone’s life in danger.

Speeding remains a consistent problem on America’s roads,  with new data showing that 11,775 people were killed in speeding-related crashes in 2023, and an estimated 332,598 people were injured. Safety starts with safe drivers, so slow down!
