Small Business Saturday is tomorrow, in downtown Toccoa

While many people have plans to check off the majority of items on their shopping lists during Black Friday, Main Street Toccoa wants to remind you to save some room for Small Business Saturday.

First observed nationally in 2010, Small Business Saturday or Shop Small Saturday is a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which feature big box retail and e-commerce stores.

Main Street Toccoa is joining many other communities in promoting Small Business Saturday.

Tomorrow, on November 30, 2019, visit Downtown Toccoa to support your friends and families in the community that own or work for a small downtown business.

According to Main Street Manager Christian Hamilton, Small Business Saturday is a good time for holiday shoppers to show their support for local brick and mortar businesses in downtown Toccoa.

Most of the shops downtown on Doyle Street, will be open all day Saturday, November 30, for shoppers to come and find those perfect gifts.

And as a way to encourage people to come downtown to shop, Hamilton says every store that is open will be offering vouchers.

The vouchers can be used for any Main Street Toccoa-sponsored event or show at the Historic Ritz Theatre.

Vouchers will be limited, and each business will create their own rules for distribution.

Hamilton said the response to Small Business Saturday from the community, in years past, has been good and they’re expecting another great day of local shopping.
