SCSO and TPD continues to search for Monday’s robbery suspect

Both Stephens County Middle School and Stephens County High School were on lock-down yesterday, after officials with Stephens County Sheriff’s Office and the Toccoa Police Department worked to locate the person responsible for a robbery at a local business.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, the wanted subject took off after robbing the business.

Around 3:45 p.m. Monday, Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley authorized officials with Stephens County High School and Stephens County Middle School to release their students, lifting the lock-down.

A BOLO for a red 2014 Mazda 6, driven by William Jacky Back was issued Monday evening.

The subject continues to evade police.
