SCMS Soccer-Baseball Results

The Stephens County Middle School girls soccer team got an exciting 1-0 win over Madison County Middle School on Thursday night. Madison Strickland scored the Lady Rebels goal with an assist by Ella Lingle. The SCMS girls soccer team is now 5-1-3.

The Stephens County Middle School Rebels boys soccer team lost a tight game with Madison County on Thursday night 5-4. Jackson Moore scored two goals, and Navy Ott and TJ Everett scored a goal for the Rebels. SCMS falls to 2-6-1.

In middle school baseball, Franklin County Middle School swept a doubleheader with Stephens County Middle School winning game one 3-0, and game two 6-5.

In game one, Franklin County’s Duncan Beasley pitched a two-hit shutout in the 3-0 win. Garret Pless pitched well for the Rebels in the loss allowing just 3 runs on 3 hits in five innings pitched.

In game two, Franklin County Middle School scored 3 runs in the final inning for a come from behind 6-5 victory. Both teams had 6 hits in the game. Ben Stowe led the Rebels with 3 hits and 2 RBI’s. Beasley had 2 hits and 3 RBI’s for Franklin County. Rebels pitcher Aiden Figueroa got the tough loss. The SCMS baseball team now has a record of 4-4.
