SCMS Rebels Boys Drop Two at Franklin

The Stephens County Middle School Rebels Boys basketball teams drop two by identical scores at Franklin County Tuesday night.

In the 7th grade boys game, Franklin County took advantage of 12 free throws made to Stephens County’s 3 and defeated the Rebels 41-33.

SCMS was led in scoring by Nuri Winters with 11 points,  Javin Gordon scored 9, Daeshawn Wilson 6, Devin Cobb 5, and Evan Lerma 2.

K. Pruitt had a game high 16 to lead Franklin County.

The Rebels 7th grade boys now have a record of 3-3.

The Rebels 8th grade boys also fell to Franklin County 41-33.

SCMS was led in scoring by Evan Dumaine’s 12 points, Cameron Lacey had 10. Corey Richie 7, and Ben Stowe and Ritt Tankersly 2 each.

The Rebels 8th grade boys are now 4-2.

All 4 teams, including girls and boys, will host Banks County for 4 games on Saturday. These games  were postponed from last Saturday and begin at 9:00 AM at Stephens County Middle School.
