SCMS Lady Rebels Pre-Christmas Results
The Stephens County Middle School Lady Rebels 8th grade team won 2 out of 3 games before the Christmas break.
The 8th Grade Lady Rebels faced off against Banks County in an intense matchup on December 14th and came away with a hard-fought 29-25 victory.
Kiya Morgan was the top scorer with 12 points and Emma Kate Powell added 9 points.
On Monday, December 16th, in a nail-biting game against Elbert County, the 8th Grade Lady Rebels came up just short, falling 28-27.
Powell led the scoring effort with 10 points, and Morgan added 9 points.
The 8th Grade Lady Rebels showcased an outstanding team effort on Thursday, December 19th in a dominant 57-35 victory over Gainesville.
Powell led the charge with 18 points, while Kiya Morgan added 10 points, Samari Rambo contributed 8 points, and La’Nyia Johnson chipped in 7 points.
The SCMS Lady Rebels 7th grade team swept all three pre-Christmas games.
On December 14th, the Lady Rebels won a defensive battle downing Banks County 20-12 with Rylee Grafton leading the way with 8 points.
On December 16th, the Lady Rebels outlasted Elbert County 32-28 in overtime. Ella Fletcher led the Rebel 7th graders with 12 points and Emma John Crunkleton and Mekennuh Merritt added 7 points each.
On December 19th, the Lady Rebels won another tight game defeating Gainesville 32-31. Fletcher again led the way with 10 points, and Crunkleton and Grafton added 9 and 8 points respectively.
The Lady Rebels will wrap up the regular season with games on Monday, January 6th at Gainesville and at home on Thursday, January 9th vs. Hart County.
