SCHS Track sets 21 Bests on Senior Night

The Stephens County Indian Track and Field Team hosted their Senior Night on Thursday, March 26, at The Reservation. The Indians set 21 personal bests and broke two class records. Highlights included Isaiah Arthur breaking his own Junior Record in the Boys 110 meter Hurdles, Peanut Arthur setting the Freshman Record in the 110 Meter Hurdles, Yasir Myles winning the Boys Triple Jump with the 2nd Longest Jump in School History, Jaecee Williams winning the Girls Discus Throw, the girls 4×200 Relay Team of Ja’vaeh Brown, Mekelliya Tukes, Kailyn McCurry, and Brianna Williams winning their race, and the boys 4×400 Relay team of Pierre Kouadio, Derrick Fortson, Alex Greer, and Isaiah Arthur winning their event. The Indians also honored 12 seniors, including Derrick Fortson, Sayde Gibby, Kalandra Gibson, Evan Hendrix, Pierre Kouadio, Rod Latner, Yasir Myles, Clark Sanders, Kell Tukes, Je’Reese Ware, Brianna Williams, and Jaecee Williams. The Indians will next compete at Franklin County High School on Saturday, April 11, in the John Scott Hartness Invitational.
