SCHS Track set Five Personal Bests at Jefferson Invitational

The Stephens County Indian Track and Field Team competed in their sixth track meet of the 2026 season on Friday, March 20, at Jefferson High School. The Indians set 5 personal bests. Highlights included Jaecee Williams finishing 9th in girls’ discus, the girls’ 4×200 relay team of Kailyn McCurry, Mekelliya Tukes, Ja’vaeh Brown, and Brianna Williams finishing 5th, Isaiah Arthur finishing 6th in the boys 110 meter hurdles, and Yasir Myles finishing 3rd in the boys’ triple jump. The Indians will next compete at home for their Senior Night on Thursday, March 26. Field events begin at 4 p.m. and races begin around 6 p.m.
