SCHS Tennis Teams defeat Monroe Area
The Stephens County High School tennis teams hosted Monroe Area in the regular season finale on Monday and got region victories.
The Indians swept all 3 singles matches and both doubles events to win 5-0.
It was the third shutout of the season for the Indians improving to 7-3 in region-8 AAA play and 9-4 overall.
The Lady Indians tennis team won 2 out of 3 singles matches and swept the doubles to win 4-1.
The Lady Indians improve to 6-4 in the region and 8-5 overall.
Both teams will prepare now for the region tournament April 11-12.
The Indians will enter the tournament as the #2 seed and will get a bye advancing to the semifinal round. The Lady Indians will face an opening round opponent entering the tournament as the #3 seed.
