SCHS student Zemily Shirley signs with Emmanuel College

A Stephens County High School Senior will be taking her athletic talents to the collegiate level.

Zemily Shirley, daughter of Jon and April Shirley, held a signing ceremony last week at Stephens County High School to attend Emmanuel College and be a part of their new Acrobatics and Tumbling Team.

Zemily was on the Indians Competition Cheer team 4 years, football cheerleader 4 years, and basketball cheerleader for 3 years.

She plans to major in early childhood education.

Zemily said she chose Emmanuel College so she could be close to home.

She will be joining another SCHS graduate on the team, Anna Claire Addison, who joined Emmanuel’s team last Fall as a part of their first season of competition.

Currently there are 30 Acrobatics and Tumbling Teams sponsored by NCAA schools.
