SCHS Senior Nick Randall signs to play Baseball with UNG

A pitcher for the Stephens County Indians Baseball team will be playing for the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega next year.

Senior Nick Randall, son of Robin Sweat and Allen Randall, held a signing ceremony at the high school Wednesday.

Last season, he helped to lead the Indians to the second round of the state playoffs.

Until this year, he has played baseball and was also on the wrestling team; but this year, he decided to concentrate solely on baseball.

Nick says he is excited to be going to University of North Georgia.

Nick plans to major in biology and pre-med at University of North Georgia.

The Indians baseball season will start soon—they’ll have a scrimmage game at Habersham Central on Tuesday (1/31), then the season opens Monday, February 13th, as they host East Jackson.
