SCHS Lady Indians Volleyball Team prepares for upcoming season

The Stephens County Lady Indians Volleyball team has been working hard getting ready for the upcoming season, which will start Tuesday, August 9th.

More than 20 players started practice July 11th with which included an overnight camp.

John LaFevers, who was assistant coach for girls’ varsity basketball last season, is the new volleyball head coach, with returning assistants, Selina Slate and Bethany Brock.

The Lady Indians participated in an FCA camp in Gainesville last week against 6 other teams.

Stephens County came away with 2 wins along with insight into what the girls need to work on to get ready for the season.

The Lady Indians will be trying to make the state playoffs for the third consecutive year.
