SCHS Indians will travel to Tiger tonight for football game

The Stephens County Indians will play their first road game of the regular season tonight as they travel up to Tiger to play the Rabun County Wildcats in high school football action.

Kickoff will be at 7:30.

The Indians won their season opener over Habersham Central at home last Friday, 14 to 3.

Rabun County, rated #3 in the state in Class A Division 1, opened their season with an easy road victory over Haralson County, 49 to 3.

The last time the Indians and Wildcats played each other was 2019 in Toccoa, and Rabun County won, 44 to 7.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio program, Indians defensive line coach, Brad Whitfield, said the Indians defense will face a very good team tonight.

93.1 FM & AM-630 WNEG will begin our coverage tonight with the Indian Road Show at 6:30, followed by Coach’s Corner at 7, and pre-game at 7:15.

In other games tonight:  Habersham Central will host White County, Franklin County will travel to Pickens, South Carolina, Madison County will host Elbert County, Commerce will host Murphy, North Carolina, and East Jackson is on the road at Social Circle.

Hart County, Banks County, East Hall and North Hall all have the night off.
