SCHS Indians will travel to Habersham Central for high school football

The Stephens County Indians will make the short trip up to Mt. Airy tonight to play the Habersham Central Raiders in high school football action.  Kickoff will be at 7:30, and this will wrap up the non-region portion of their schedule.

Last Friday the Indians had to come from behind late in the fourth quarter to pull out a win over Madison County at Danielsville, 19 to 14.

The Indians are undefeated going into tonight’s game with a record of 4 & 0.

The Raiders come into tonight’s game with a record of 2 & 1 after last Friday’s road-win at White County, 21 to 12.  Stephens County won last year’s game with Habersham Central here in Toccoa, 27 to 12.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio program, Stephens County’s Defensive Backs Coach, Rocky Fulbright, says the Habersham Central defense is better this year than the last couple of years, and their offense can hit the big play.
