SCHS Indians will play White County Warriors tonight at home in high school football

The Stephens County Indians will kick off their football season tonight at The Reservation as they host the White County Warriors in a non-region game.

Last year, White County defeated the Indians up at Cleveland, 44 to 6.

The Indians went on to an overall record of 5 & 3, having 2 games cancelled because of Covid restrictions and missing the playoffs.

White County had a good season last year, finishing with a record of 7 & 3 and making it to the 1st round of the state playoffs.  Kick-off is set for 7:30 tonight.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio program, Stephens County Offensive Coordinator, Jerry Underwood, said since White County has a lot of experience on the defensive side of the ball, his offense will have to play well.

Coverage on 93.1 FM and AM 630 WNEG starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Indian Tailgate Show live from The Reservation.

Coach’s Corner starts at 7 p.m. and live pre-game coverage from the stadium starts at 7:15 p.m.  You can also listen online at wnegradio.com and on the free WNEG Radio app.

In addition to Stephens County-White County, other games on tonight’s schedule include: Habersham Central at Madison County, Franklin County hosting Lumpkin County, Hart County hosting Elbert County, Banks County at Commerce, and Rabun County at Jefferson.
