SCHS Indians to host Jackson County tonight in high school football

The Stephens County Indians will host Jackson County tonight at The Reservation in high school football action.

Kickoff will be at 7:30.

The Indians are coming off a shut-out win over North Hall on the road last Friday, 42 to 0, to improve their record at 2 & 0 on the season.

Jackson County opened their season last Friday at home with a 26 to 0 win over East Jackson.

Stephens County won last year’s matchup at Jackson County, 24 to 10.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio program, Indians defensive coordinator, Thomas Flowers, said the Indians defense will face a tough opponent tonight.

93.1 FM & AM-630 WNEG will begin our coverage tonight with the Indian Tailgate Show live from The Reservation at 5:30, followed by Coach’s Corner at 7, and pre-game at 7:15.

In other games tonight:  Franklin County will host East Hall, Hart County will host North Hall, Banks County will travel to East Jackson, White County plays at Pickens County, and Madison County is on the road at Apalachee.

Athens Academy at Commerce and Rabun County at Eagles Landing Christian have been cancelled.  Habersham Central has the night off.

The Stephens County Middle School Rebels played their first game of the season last night at The Reservation and defeated Hart County, 27 to 24.

The Rebels will be back in action Saturday night, September 11th,  as they travel to Carnesville to play Franklin County—Kickoff will be at 6 pm.
