SCHS Indians Football team has tonight off, returning to play October 22

The Stephens County Indians football team has the night off tonight due to an open date on their schedule.

After 7 games, the Indians have lost only once—that was to region opponent Monroe Area.

Last Friday, Stephens County held Franklin County scoreless in a 37 to 0 victory at The Reservation.

They’ll resume their schedule next Friday night, October 22nd, when they travel to Hartwell to take on the Hart County Bulldogs.

Both teams will enter the game with identical 6 & 1 records.

In addition to Stephens County and Hart County, other Region 8-AAA teams with open dates tonight include East Jackson, Oconee County, and Monroe Area.

Franklin County is the only region team in action, as the Lions travel to Commerce.

Elsewhere in the area tonight:  Habersham Central will travel to Lanier, Banks County will host Rabun County, and Madison County will host Chestatee.

White County has the night off.
