SCHS Indians baseball team defeats Banks County, 8-4

The Stephens County Indians picked up a non-region baseball win Thursday night, downing the Banks County Leopards 8-4.

Ayden Garmon gave up three runs, scattered four hits and struck out five.  Nick Randall finished out the game, giving up a run on just one hit.

Seth McCollum smacked a line drive home run in the bottom of the fifth inning, joining Jacob Pruitt, Cruz Mullinix, Garrett Burgess and Craig Thurmond in the RBI department.

Bowen Roberts doubled and singled in the first two innings, driving in two of the Leopard’s runs.

Tripp Williams took the loss for Banks County.

Stephens County is now 11-11 on the season.  Banks County dropped their 7th game of the year, but they have a dozen wins.

The Indians return to Region 8-AAA action Tuesday at Hart County.  Game time is 6PM and air time on WNEG will be 5:45PM.
