SCHS has Open Date in Varsity Football Tonight

The Stephens County High School (SCHS) Indians varsity football team will not have a game tonight, September 19, due to the open date on their schedule.  The Indians have completed the non-region portion of their schedule with a record of 2-3. They’ll start Region 8-AA play next Friday night, September 26, when they host the Franklin County Lions at The Reservation. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. Franklin County, with a perfect 4-0 record, hosts West Hall tonight.    

In other games tonight: Hart County visits Monroe Area, East Jackson travels to East Hall, Banks County visits Rabun County, Commerce travels to Athens Academy, and North Hall hosts White County. In addition to Stephens County, Habersham Central and Madison County have the night off. 

In middle school football action, Stephens County lost to Rabun County last night, September 18, in a road game, 12-8. The Rebels are 3-2 on the season and host Hart County Thursday, September 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the second game of a football double-header at The Reservation. The Indians JV team also plays Thursday at home, facing Franklin County, with kickoff at 4:30 p.m.
