SCHS Ends Regular Season in Hoops Play

Another cold shooting quarter cost the Stephens County Lady Indian basketball team a victory Thursday night.

Leading by seven at the half, Stephens County scored just four points in the third quarter and lost 41-34 to the Lady War Eagles of Chestatee.

Lexie Cash had 14 points for the Lady Indians and Nikelsha Owens added eight points.

The loss left the Lady Indians with a 5-3 region record and 14-11 overall record.

Meanwhile, the Stephens County boys scored 31 points in the final quarter to beat Chestatee 73-51.

Tavoris Davis led the Indians with 21 points.  Josh Slate scored 12, Tyrik Combs had 11, and Omar Hayes added 10 points.

The Indians are 2-6 in the region and 5-20 overall.

Next up is the Region Tournament next week at Lanier HS.
