SCHS Competition Cheerleaders finishes in 7th place at State Finals

The Stephens County High School Competition Cheerleaders competed with the top 16 teams in the state at the State Finals in Macon last Friday.

The Lady Indians hit a fantastic routine and placed 7th overall….missing a top 6 finish by just 2.5 points, and the honor of being called down to the mat at the end of the competition.

Seniors Brooklynn Taylor and Harper Lecroy led the team at the state competition.

Head Coach Cathy Thornton said “We have had a fantastic season. They performed an almost near perfect routine, and I could not be more proud!”

The Lady Indians assistant coaches are Whitney Roberson, Emily Morgan, and Kaitlan Prince.

The SCHS Competition Cheer Team was the first to win back-to-back region championships in school history.
