SCHS Athletics Announces No Cash Payments for Tickets This Year

Along with the start of the 2024-25 school year today, comes the start of the 2024-25 athletics, and along with that comes several new policy and procedural updates for fans.

According to information provided to WNEG News yesterday, it was planned that spectators would not be able purchase tickets on site at the time of events for any Stephens County Athletics home game, meet or match this year. Instead, all tickets must be purchased through the GoFan website or app. GoFans, a subsidiary of Alpharetta company Huddle Tickets LLC, offers school athletic programs a “comprehensive ticketing system” as well as fundraising, concessions, sponsorships, and streaming options.

However, in an updated announcement at 3 p.m. today, school administrators stated that they had heard the feedback from the community regarding that news, and had adjusted plans to accommodate the fans and cash will be accepted. There will now be three options to purchase Stephens County Athletic home game tickets, including paying cash at the gate, paying with a credit card online as detailed later in this story, and purchasing a season pass, also as described in our original news story, as follows.

Breaking down the athletics ticket specifics, with the 3 p.m update taken into consideration, all single game admission tickets are available in digital format through the GoFan website, or with cash on site.

A Season Pass that gives access throughout the year to all home events for all sports, excluding postseason competitions, is available for $100. The All Sport Season Pass is a physical, printed card that is paid for in cash or check, no credit or debit cards allowed. All Season sports passes will be available on August 8 at Red Rage beginning at 5:30 p.m. All Sports Season Passes can also be purchased daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, at the Stephens County High School Front Office.

Digital Sports-specific season passes are available only through GoFan. Sport-Specific passes give entry to all home events for the specific sport, excluding postseason competitions and are only available online by clicking on the  TICKETS link at stepthenscountyathletics.com.

According to the Stephens County Page on the GoFans website, a SCHS Softball season pass for all varsity and jr. varsity home games, excluding postseason competitions, is $40.

All single game admission tickets listed to date on the GoFans site are between $5 and $8 each, including the  August 16 varsity football game against the Habersham Central Raiders, with tickets for this game listed at $8. This game is the home opening game for the Indians, and has been listed as “Hall of Fame” night.

A Football season pass for Boys Varsity/JV/Freshman home games is $50

According to information from Stephens County Athletics, Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets before leaving home and have the ticket on their phone before arriving at the event to expedite the entry process and avoid lack of cell service due increased crowd usage. However, cash tickets will also be available on site at the events. We are committed to providing a seamless and efficient experience for our fans. By offering various ticketing options, we aim to enhance the overall game day experience and ensure easy access for all supporters of our student-athletes.”
