SCHS Athletic Director wraps Winter Sports Season
Stephens County High School (SCHS) has wrapped up its winter sports season. Athletic Director Eric Sutulovich said it was a learning year for first-year Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Greg Wilson and his young team.
The SCHS Varsity Boys Basketball Team finished the season 1-24.
The Varsity Girls Basketball Team was also very young and Sutulovich said you saw them mature throughout the season.
Coach Jerry Brown’s Varsity Girls Basketball Team went 4-22 on the season.
SCHS Varsity Wrestling Coach Brandon Rowland’s team went 10-10 and the girls finished 14-3. Sutulovich says three wrestlers advanced to state this year.
Garrett Krous, Carter Fowler, and Ashton Justus competed in the state tournament for the SCHS Wrestling Team.
Winter sports at Stephens County High School also includes the Competitive Cheer Team and the Competitive Dance Team, adds Sutulovich.
The Competitive Cheer Team is coached by Cathy Thornton and Kaitlan Prince and they won their fourth-straight Region championship. The Competitive Dance Team also won Region and they are coached by Kenzie Cash.
