SCH will hold another drive-through vaccination clinic for second dose of COVID vaccine

Stephens County Hospital has announced that on February 3, individuals who went through the Drive-Through Vaccination Clinic on Wednesday, January 13, will get their second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine.

According to Stephens County Hospital Chief Executive Officer Mike Hester, the hope is that the hospital will continue to be able to offer the vaccine to other Phases of the State Vaccine plan as the Department of Public Health Permits.

During Wednesday’s Drive-Through Vaccination Clinic, individuals falling into Phase 1a, which included Stephens County residents age 65 and older, as well as their at-home caregivers, Toccoa-Stephens County First Responders, including law enforcement, Fire, and 911 dispatchers; and Toccoa-Stephens County Healthcare workers, were able to get the vaccine at no cost.

Again, anyone who received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine will need to return to the hospital on February 3 for their second dose of the vaccine.
