SCBOC Moving Forward with AV System for Courthouse

During the June 11 meeting of the Stephens County Board of Commissioners, Board members approved moving forward with installation of an upgraded and enhanced audio visual system for the historic courthouse. Among other purposes, the building-integrated Audio Visual System would be used to provide comprehensive live streaming of Board of Commissioner meetings that will be accessible by citizens on a wider range of platforms.

Stephens County Administrator Christian Hamilton discussed the system with WNEG News.

The next regularly-scheduled meeting of the Stephens County Board of Commissioners will be Tuesday, June 25, at 6 p.m. at the Historic Courthouse, when the second public hearing on the tentative FY2025 budget will be held, and a vote on adoption of the budget is expected to immediately follow the public hearing. However, the Stephens County Board of Commissioners has announced they will hold a called meeting of the Board tomorrow, June 14, at 8 a.m. The  meeting will be held at the Stephens County Senior Center, 55 Rose Lane Park Drive. The sole item on the agenda is a discussion on the subject of Travel Trailer Parks, RV Parks and Campgrounds.

The public is invited to attend the meeting.
