SCBC will meet tonight for Regular Scheduled Meeting
The Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet this evening for its regular scheduled meeting.
The meeting will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. in the Stephens County Historic Courthouse.
Up for consideration are three land use public hearings including a variance request from Jim Chapman Communities, Inc.; a rezoning request from Andrew Griner, for the property located at 3557 Rock Creek Road; and a rezoning request from James and Selita Phillips for the property located at N. Holcomb Drive Trace 2, in Martin.
Under new business, the Commission will consider a motion to re-appoint Beth Rider as County Clerk; and a motion to re-appoint Law Offices of Sanders, Ranck and Skilling as County Attorney.
The Board will consider a motion to set time and place for work sessions and regular meetings for the 2022 calendar year.
The Board will consider a motion for Commissioners to fill appointed boards.
A motion to appoint budget officer for Fiscal Year 2023.
The Board will consider a motion to authorize the purchase of a 2022 Police Interceptor Utility AWD Base from Mike Jones Ford in the amount of $34,948 which replaces a bid opened on January 10, 2022, to be paid for using funds from the SPLOST account.
The Board will consider a motion to approve $100,000 be taken out of SPLOST for the Sheriff’s Office to purchase vehicles as they are located.
The Board will also consider a motion to authorize chairman to sign declaration of emergency in Stephens County.
Again, the Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet this evening at 5:30 p.m. inside the Historic Stephens County Courthouse.
