SCBC will meet this morning

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet this morning for its regular scheduled meeting and work session.

The board will consider a motion to authorize County Administrator Phyllis Ayers to sign a letter and application for reimbursement of a tire amnesty event with the EPD.

In the same vein, the board will consider a motion to authorize Ayers to sign a letter and application for reimbursement of a tire right-of-way cleanup with the EPD.

The board will also consider a motion to approve a budget amendment to the Fiscal Year 2019 Budget for the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office.

The commission will also consider amending the 2020 Budget for the following departments: County Clerk, E911 Communications and the Probate Court.

Lastly, the board will consider a motion to sign a letter to the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers requesting Walker Creek be added to the county’s lease agreement.

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners meetings are open to the public.

Today’s meeting is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m. inside the Stephens County Historic Courthouse.
