SCBC to consider abandoning Poole Lane during scheduled meeting today

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday for its regular scheduled meeting and work session.

On the agenda, the board will consider a variance request from Richard Murray, for the property located at 464 Tahoe Trail, in Martin.

Murray’s property is currently zoned as residential single; however, the proposed action is to grant a variance for an accessory building to be placed to the left side, in front, of the home.

Additionally, the board will consider a motion to award a bid to Thornton Brothers for a racking system for the Record Retention Building.

The racking system will be paid for using excess funds from the New Annex Restoration Budget.

In other business, the board will consider abandoning Poole Lane.

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners meeting on Tuesday is slated for 8:30 a.m. inside the Historic Courthouse.

As always, the public is invited to attend.
