SCBC renews contract with Rave Mobility Safety for Alert Notification system

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners authorized 911/EMA Director Danielle Rhodes to sign a renewal quote for the Stephens County Alert notification system.

During the Commission meeting last week, the board approved a motion authorizing Rhodes signature for a quote from Rave Mobility Safety for a three-year renewal.

According to County Administrator Phyllis Ayers, Rave Mobility Safety offered three renewal options, with the county going with Option B.

Vice-Chair James Addison asked if the prices were the same as when they originally decided to use Rave Mobility Safety.

Rhodes said she believes they are very close to being the same.

Ayers said the first year they went with the company it was $9,000.

Addison then asked if they board could get out of the contract at any time.

County Attorney Brian Ranck said he could add an early termination option to the contract.

Commissioner Dean Scarborough made a motion approving option b renewal with Rave Mobility Safety with Addison seconding the motion.

The motion was approved unanimously.
