Runoff Election Today in Stephens County

It is the Republican runoff election day and voting will be held today at the Stephens County Senior Center from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

All registered voters are eligible to vote in the runoff election, even if you did not vote in the General Primary on May 24.

Anyone who requested absentee ballots, the deadline to return those to the Elections Office is no later than 7 p.m. tonight.

There are two local races on the ballot for this runoff election; both are for posts on the Stephens County Board of Commissioners.

For Post 1, Republican Dennis Black will be vying against Republican Challenger Tara D. Simmons. The winner of today’s runoff will face Democrat Kathy Pauly and Libertarian Craig Oglesby in November.

For Post 4, Republican Incumbent James Addison will be vying against Republican Challenger Chris Rickman.
