RSVP for Stephens County and GRP|WEGMAN BBQ to celebrate the Stephens County Detention Center Solar Project

Celebrate the Stephens County Detention Center Solar Project with the GRP|WEGMAN team on October 14, 2026, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Stephens County Recreation Department, 125 Rose Lane Park Drive in Toccoa. Stephens County Administrator Christian Hamilton invites the community to this free BBQ.

“So on October 14, 2026, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Stephens County Recreation Department, we will be holding a BBQ. This is going to be co-hosted with GRP|WEGMAN. They were the contractor that helped us install the solar panels at the Stephens County Detention Center. Our goal here is to really just welcome folks to the community, let everybody see the benefit that this solar project has had on Stephens County, and of course have a nice meal in the process. At 1 p.m., we will have a shuttle to the solar project, if anyone wants to go and actually see it in person, but apart from that we would like to invite the public out to come and enjoy the event that we’ll be co-hosting with GRP|WEGMAN.”
