The Royston Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect who used a stolen debit card to make purchases at a local retailer.

According to Royston Police Chief Donnie Bolemon, the suspect is believed to have also attempted to make purchases at the Toccoa Walmart recently, but the card was declined.

Bolemon said his investigators are working with other area law enforcement agencies to make a positive ID from surveillance photos.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late teens or early 20’s.

At the time of the incident in Royston, he was light-colored pants, a dark t-shirt and an orange baseball cap.

Anyone with information on the suspects identity or whereabouts is asked to contact Royston Police at 706-245-6196.
