Rollover Crash under Investigation by Lavonia Police

On Thursday, April 2, 2026, at approximately 12:43 PM, officers with the Lavonia Police Department were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash involving a rollover with roadway blockage and possible injuries at the intersection of Georgia Highway 59 and Clear Creek Parkway.
Upon arrival, officers observed that Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin County EMS personnel, and the Lavonia Fire Department were already on scene assisting the occupants involved in the crash.
The crash involved a Ford F-250 Super Duty that was overturned onto its driver’s side and an Infiniti sedan that sustained disabling front-end damage.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of the F-250 failed to yield at a stop sign on Stonebridge Road before attempting to cross Georgia Highway 59 toward Clear Creek Parkway, at which time the vehicle collided with the Infiniti.
Occupants of the Infiniti were transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
The driver of the F-250 went to an area hospital for evaluation as well.
Only minor injuries were reported at the time of the preliminary investigation.
Due to the severity of the crash, Clear Creek Parkway and Georgia Highway 59 were temporarily blocked until emergency personnel were able to safely clear the roadway.
This incident remains under investigation.
