Roger Dale Bentley

Roger Dale Bentley, 71, of Carnesville, passed away Friday afternoon, July 24, 2020 at
his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born March 17, 1949, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Lester John and
Odie Lee Brown Bentley.  The last member of his immediate family he was the brother
of the late Mary Aldean McDaniel, Johnnie Sue Busby, and Robert Bentley.  He was a
retired machinist from Lockheed Martin after more than 37 years of dedicated service.
When Roger wasn't at Lockheed he was doing what he loved best as a poultry and cattle farmer.  He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U S Army. He was a member of
Hunter’s Creek Baptist Church and beloved member of his community.

He is survived by his wife Beverly Parten Bentley; Children: Greg and Wendy Bentley,
Jeff and Cathy Bentley, Peyton and Tim Pullian, Nikki and Cory Hunter; grandchildren:
Jeremy Garner, Morgan and Jacob Cobb, Megan Bentley, Matthew Bentley, Bentley
Hunter,  and Idalee Hunter; great-grandchildren: Annabeth Cobb, and Jacob Dale Cobb.

The family will gather for graveside services Monday morning at 11am at the Franklin
Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ben Huff.
Friends may pay their respects from 12 noon until 5pm at the Ginn Funeral Home.  The
family at home and will receive friends from 3pm until 5 pm Sunday afternoon at the
funeral home.
