Robert Sewell “Buddy” Westbrook

Robert Sewell “Buddy” Westbrook, 53, of Lavonia, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Landmark Hospital in Athens.

Born July 19, 1967, in Franklin County, he was the son of Hazel Turpin Singleton, the late Roy Westbrook, and the late Ronnie Singleton. He worked as a machine operator for American Tree Grading Service. He was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his fathers, he was preceded in death by his brother: Barry Westbrook.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Marie Littleton Westbrook; children: Lisa Beth Westbrook (Dustin Vinson) of Martin, Sabrina Linkous (Brad) of Toccoa, Emily Parker of Lavonia, Jay Parker (Jasmine) of Lavonia, and Kayla Ott (Daniel) of Clarkesville; grandchildren: Haelyn Vinson, Rylan Vinson, Ashlynn Parker, Lisa Pitts, and Cooper Cole Linkous; siblings: Mike Westbrook (Karen) of Carnesville, Don Singleton of Euharlee, Donna Reeves (Kenny) of Euharlee, Jill Cothran (Rick) of Martin, and Chad Singleton (Rosemary); and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Mike Westbrook officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Andy Cothran, Clay Westbrook, Collin Westbrook, Gage Westbrook, John Westbrook, Lane Westbrook, Corey Williams, and Robert Williams.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to defray funeral expenses.
