Rev. Riki Hazen Wise

Rev. Riki Hazen Wise, age 53 of Grand View Drive, Toccoa passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A son of Timothy Wise and the late Charlotte Mihill Wise, he was born March 11, 1973 in Saranac Lake, New York where he lived in his young years before moving to Toccoa in 1991 to attend Toccoa Falls College.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served four years for his country.  He was in the Civil Air Patrol as a kid and also involved in Martial Arts.  He served Stephens County for 21 years in the capacity as Deputy, Jail Administrator and County Marshall. He was currently employed with Stephens County where he served as Building Inspector for 2 years.  He served as a pastor for various churches in Arkansas and Georgia including Highpoint Community Church in Toccoa. He coached his son’s baseball team in Toccoa.

He was a member of BFC Ministries (Bethesda Fellowship Church), Cornelia, Georgia where he was involved with several aspects of the church including serving as a Deacon.  He was a member of the Heaven’s Saints Motorcycle Ministry, Midway Chapter in Cornelia. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Wise, his sister, Karen Wise and his step-mother, Debbie Wise.

He is survived by his father, Timothy Wise of Toccoa; wife of the home, Kim Wise; two sons, David Wise and Jonathan Wise of Toccoa; brother and sister-in-law, Geoffrey Wise (Mary Kline) of Poughquag, New York; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary Ann and Ronald Dwire of Toccoa; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Christopher Broom of Toccoa; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Glen and Bonnie Dwire of Pennsylvania and Matthew and Karen Dwire of Toccoa; a number of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 27, 2026, 2 p.m. at BFC Ministries (Bethesda Fellowship Church), 2555 Duncan Bridge Road, Cornelia, Georgia with Pastor John Graham and Pastor Johnny Johnson officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, David Wise, Jonathan Wise, Geoffrey Wise, Stephen Cochran, Jerby Segars and Dave Shanks Military Honors by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and the Grant-Reeves VFW Post 7720 Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at BFC Ministries on Monday from 12 noon until the service time.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
