Rebels Take Three from Madison

The Stephens County Middle School Rebels basketball teams took 3 of 4 over Madison County Middle School on Thursday.

The 7th grade boys Rebels defeated Madison County 57-40. Javin Gordon led a balanced attack with 16 points. The Rebels also got 14 points from Semaj Walker, Brock Tankersley had 9, Andrew Keown with 8, Tripp Underwood 6, and 2 each from Jet Black and Jonah Swinton.

Grant Smith led Madison with 10 points.

The 7th grade Rebels boys remain undefeated at 6-0.

The 8th grade Rebels boys improved to 5-1 with a 30-26 win.

The Rebels were led by Jasec Smith’s 13 points, Aaron Scott added 8, Nuri Winters and Devin Cobb with 4 each, and Ethan Smith with 1.

The SCMS 8th grade girls raised their record to 4-2 with a 38-29 win over Madison County.

The Lady Rebels were led by Samiea Scott with 13 points, Dariyah Bell added 12, Kaitlyn Cangilosi 11, and 1 each from Tytiunna Tukes and Jaziya Harbin.

Injuries plagued the 7th grade Lady Rebels as they fell 34-9. The 7th grade Lady Rebels are now 2-4 on the season.

The Rebels basketball teams will close out their pre-Christmas portion of the schedule today at Hart County Middle School with games beginning at 4:30 P.M.
