Rebels Basketball Split With Franklin

The Stephens County Middle School Rebels split a 4 game set with Franklin County Middle School in Carnesville on Thursday with both SCMS boys teams winning, and both Franklin County Middle School girls teams winning.

Javin Gordon scored a game high 19 points and Jet Black added 10 points to lead the undefeated Rebels 7th grade boys to a 50-26 win. The Rebels also got scoring from Davon Swinton and Semaj Walker with 6 points each, Tripp Underwood added 5, and Andrew Keown and Jonah Swinton 2 each.
Ty Peeples and Jeremiah Mayfield each had 6 to lead Franklin County.

The Rebels 7th grade boys are now 4-0.

The Rebels 8th grade boys improved to 3-1 on the season with a 37-26 win over Franklin County. Aaron Scott led the Rebels with 18 points, Ethan Smith had 6, and Jasec Smith and Devin Cobb had 4 points each.

In the girls games, The Lady Rebels 8th grade battled but fell in overtime to Franklin County 27-24. Samiea Scott led the Lady Rebels with 12 points, Tranyinyasia Walker added 6, Tytianna Tukes 3, Aurora Elrod 2, and Jaziya Harbin 1.

The Franklin County 7th grade girls defeated Stephens County 33-15.

Both 7th and 8th grade Lady Rebels teams are now 2-2.

Stephens County Middle School will host Habersham Monday with games beginning at 4:30 P.M.
