Rebels Basketball Results

The Stephens County Middle School boys’ basketball teams were in action on Monday at Habersham.
The 8th grade Rebels received 11 points each from Cashus Roebuck and Braz Adams and 9 points from Tray Martin to roll to a 47-24 victory. The 8th grade Rebels improve to 2-1 in the region and 3-1 overall.
The 7th grade Rebels suffered the first defeat of the season falling in a close game 41-37.
Jamaal Brown led the Rebels with 15 points and Keegan Howard added 12 points for the 7th grade Rebels now 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the region.
Both boys’ teams will host Elbert County on Thursday at 4:30 P.M.
Some results from the Stephens County Lady Rebels early season. The 7th grade Lady Rebels won their first two games downing Franklin County on November 10th at home 32-28 with Juquita Gresham leading the way with 12 points. Kate Culpepper added 9 and Lilli Mata 7 for the 7th grade Lady Rebels who followed the opening win with a road victory at Madison County on November 13th 31-21 with Gresham scoring 22 of the 31 points.
The Lady Rebels 8th grade girls split the first two games falling to Franklin County 38-28 and winning at Madison County in a tight one 35-33. Jadaya Montgomery scored 16 points and Kiya Morgan 14 in the loss to Franklin County. Morgan led the way in the Madison win with 17 points and Montgomery added 11.
Both girls’ teams will travel to Elbert County on Thursday.
