Raiders Roll Indians in New Years Eve Tilt
The Habersham Central Raiders boys team improved to 13-2 on the season downing Stephens County 68-47 Tuesday afternoon in Mt. Airy.
Enzo Combs led the Raiders with 15 points, and the duo of 6-8 post players Judge Wilbanks and JoJo McCurry added 12 points each.
Stephens County was led by sophomore’s Wilson Stacy and Colson Ivey with 12 and 11 points.
The Indians fall to 1-11 on the season.
In the girl’s game, Habersham Central jumped out to a 15-2 lead after the first quarter, and led by 25 points at the half, to roll to a 62-31 victory over the Lady Indians.
Daytona Harwood and Tessa Murdock scored 14 points each and Oaklee Jackson added 10 to lead the Lady Raiders in a game that saw ten different player’s score.
Stephens County was led by Aleria Faulkner with 8 points, Terynn Mitchell and Jasmine Hagi added 6 points each.
The Lady Indians fall to 2-11 on the season. Habersham Central improves to 3-8.
The Stephens County teams will return home on Friday when they host Athens Academy at Currahee Arena. Airtime is set for 3:45 P.M. with the girls’ tipoff at 4 P.M. on WNEG.
