Rabun-Toccoa Little League Softball Eliminated

Madison County scored 7 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to break open what had become a close game and defeat the combined Rabun County-Toccoa team 16-6 on Monday night at the Rabun County Recreation Park in Little League Softball.

The game was delayed 2 and a half hours due to storms and rain showers with the first pitch at 9:30 P.M.

Madison County scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st, added 3 more runs in the 3rd, and 4 in the 4th to lead 9-1.

The Rabun-Toccoa team scored 5 runs in the top of the 5th inning to cut the lead to 9-6, but Madison County finished the deal in the bottom of the inning.

Katie Dixon scored 4 runs and Marlee Brown scored 3 runs and had 2 RBI’s to lead Madison County.

The Rabun-Toccoa team was eliminated from the double-elimination tournament. Madison County advances to face Hart County in the championship round tonight at 7 P.M. If Madison County wins tonight, there will be a final game on Wednesday night.
