Qualifying for Toccoa City Commission will begin next week

Qualifying for three Toccoa City Commission seats will be held Monday, August 19th through Wednesday, August 21st.

The election is November 5th.  Three City Commission seats are open this election.

They include Seat 1, which is currently held by Gail Fry; Seat 2, which is currently held by Terry Carter; and Seat 4, which is currently held by David Austin.

Toccoa City Clerk Fredda Wheeler tells WNEG News those wishing to qualify for either of those seats must qualify at the City Clerk’s office between 8:30a August 19 and 4;30p August 21st.

The qualifying fee is $330.

County Commission elections come up in 2020.

However, voters in Toccoa-Stephens County will be asked to decide on a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax referendum for 2020.
