Prince Avenue Christian Wins Big at Stephens
Jake Bobo, the son of UGA Offensive Coordinator Mike Bobo, ran for four touchdowns and passed for another, to lead Prince Avenue Christian to a 49-7 win over Stephens County Friday night at the Reservation.
Bobo had runs of 13, 12, and 10, and connected with Brice Williamson on a 37-yard touchdown pass. Williamson caught another touchdown pass, this time from Baxter Carbine, and Andrew Beard had a 63-yard touchdown run to lead the Wolverines to a 42-7 halftime advantage.
Stephens County’s lone first half touchdown tied the game in the 1st quarter when Tripp Underwood hit Davon Swinton on a 37-yard touchdown pass.
Bobo had the only score of the 2nd half on a 4-yard touchdown run. The 2nd half had a running clock.
Prince Avenue, now 2-0 in region-8 AA play and 4-3 overall dominated in total yards with 453 to Stephens County’s 183.
Stephens County falls to 1-1 in region play and 4-3 overall. The Indians will have a bye week next week and will return to play on October 18th at Hebron Christian.
