Two Toccoa men have been indicted for an early morning shooting in January.
According to the indictment, Isiah Wall and Shawn Mayfield, were indicted earlier this month on one count of armed robbery, one count of aggravated assault, one count of aggravated battery, and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Authorities say on the morning of January 19th, Wall and Mayfield met 38-year old Dennis Bradley Cromer on Oriole Drive for a drug sale that went wrong.
The two allegedly robbed then shot Cromer, which resulted in the loss of one of the victim’s fingers, according to the indictment.
Cromer was able to drive to a local gas station and call for help.
Wall and Mayfield were later arrested and charged.
The Stephens Grand Jury also indicted a Toccoa man and a Lavonia man for the May burglary of a home on Carnes Creek Road.
Stephens County Sheriff’s investigators say it happened the evening of May 8th and was captured on a home security camera.
Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley said at the time that investigators were able to look at the video that showed two men, one black, one white kicking in the front door of the home.
The suspects ransacked the home and left within a few minutes.
Both men were later identified as 35-year-old Jamar Haymond of Toccoa and 20-year-old Austin Outz of Lavonia.
Investigators located both men at a residence in another part of Stephens County later that day.
Haymond and Outz were indicted on one count each of felony burglary in the first degree.
And finally, the Grand Jury indicted a man for spying on women in the restroom of a local restaurant.
The indictment states that on April 2, 2017, Jeremy Keith Singleton allegedly placed a hidden video camera in the women’s bathroom of the Toccoa Sonic and recorded the activities of at least one woman.
Singleton was indicted on one count of felony Invasion of Privacy.
