Not Much Change in Latest Covid-19 Report for Area

The latest report from the Georgia Department of Public Health has Stephens County with 42 deaths related to the virus and 1,224 positive cases of the virus since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Thursday afternoon.

DPH is also reporting one less death in Habersham County bringing that total to 72, and now 1,808 total positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, DPH is reporting 16 deaths in Hart County and still 551 cases, Rabun County is  reporting 11 deaths and 404 cases, Banks County is still reporting 8 deaths, but now 528 cases, and Franklin County with 820 total positive cases and 16 deaths.

Across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is now reporting a total of 336,241 cases, of those, 30,081 have been hospitalized and 7,492 have died from complications of the virus.
