Mt. Airy wreck sends three Toccoa residents to the hospital

A recent wreck in Mt. Airy sends three Toccoa residents and a Mt. Airy woman to the hospital.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, at the intersection of Camp Creek Road and Cody Road.

GSP says, 19-year-old Jennifer Mendoza of Mt. Airy, was driving a 2013 Nissan Sentra east on Cody Road when she failed to yield at the intersection.

The Sentra struck at 2011 Ford Focus traveling north on Camp Creek Road.

The Focus was driven by 24-year-old Hope Takacs, of Toccoa. In her vehicle were two passengers, a one-year-old child and Mason Takacs, 25, of Toccoa.

EMS transported everyone involved in the accident to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville to be treated for injuries.

GSP says, at this time, no charges will be filed.
