Mrs. Victoria “Vicki” Smith Coker

Mrs. Victoria “Vicki” Smith Coker of Toccoa passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 4, 2026.
A daughter of the late Buren H. and Sara Powers Smith, Vicki was born in Toccoa, Georgia on October 8, 1949.
She was a 1967 graduate of Stephens County High School and became a registered nurse after graduating from Brenau College in 1970.  Vicki found great joy in her career working in multiple hospitals.  She was employed by Northeast Georgia Medical Center for 33 years, most of them serving on the IV team, and she cherished the friendships that were made during that time.  Whether it was Pigeon Forge or Paris, Vicki really enjoyed traveling. She was a devout Christian and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.  She loved babies.  She loved her family.  She loved her pets.  And she especially loved her husband.
Vicki is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Everett Coker of Toccoa; her son, Paul Akins (Melissa) of White County; sister, Terri Beasley and brother, David Smith (Jennifer), both of Toccoa; nieces and nephews, Chris Doud (Ashle) of Toccoa, Rachel Sanders (Clint) of Toccoa and Tyler Smith (Hannah) of Knoxville, TN; and nine great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12 noon until the service hour on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at one o’clock Saturday, April 11, 2026 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Andy Childs officiating.
