Mrs. Susan Whitlock Whiten

Mrs. Susan Whitlock Whiten, age 54, of Toccoa, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
Born November 15, 1970, she was a daughter of Sue Camp Whitlock and the late James Jerry Whitlock.
Susan was a graduate of Stephens County High School, attended Brenau College, and graduated from North Georgia College.  She was an officer and employee of Whitlock Mortuary and Roselane Cemetery.
Susan or “Sue-Sue” as she was lovingly known by many, was a social butterfly who truly enjoyed life.  She was skilled and gifted in hospitality, loving to plan, cook, host, and entertain family and friends.  Doing the right thing for the right reason was important.  Always thinking of others first and making each person feel so special.  No matter where she went, she would be noticed for her beautiful smile and unique fashion sense.  She was humble, kind, believed in traditions and of course southern etiquette, but was the most fun to be around.  Pickle ball, tennis, golf, traveling, outings with friends, dinner parties, new experiences, fine dining, and sporting events, especially watching the Georgia Bulldogs were just a few of her favorite things.  She adored her nieces and nephews and having fun times with them was one of her greatest joys in life.  Most importantly, Susan believed in Jesus and her faith was strong.  She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and her beautiful smile.
Family members in addition to her mother include her husband, Parker Whiten; sons by marriage, Knox and Charlie Whiten; sister, Sherri Whitlock Rumsey; brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Tina Whitlock; nieces and nephews, Krystle Palmer and Spencer, Bo St. Clair and Sydney, Molly Sharp and Harrison, Andrew Whitlock, Matthew Chumley and Erica, and Marcus Wilbanks and Adam; great-nieces and great-nephews, Whit Palmer, Rhett and Lane Sharp, and Madilyn, Meridith, and Maci Chumley; mother-in-law, Janice Whiten and Michele Whiten; and sisters-in-law, Paige and Dan Lally and Morgan Whiten.
