Mrs. Sherry Crawford Pitts
Mrs. Sherry Crawford Pitts, age 69 of Mize Road, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.
A daughter of the late Clyde C. Crawford and Laura Mae Davis Crawford, she was born December 26, 1954 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies and a member of the Singing Saints Choir. She loved to cook and do cross stitch and going to dinner with her “old ladies”. She loved everyone and always put others first.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Charles.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Jason Skelton of Mt. Airy, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, John and Amanda Pitts of Johnstown, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Bruce Queen, Jay Skelton, Annabelle Skelton, Autumn Pitts, Aubree Pitts and Styx Pitts; sister, Virginia Smith of Toccoa.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 29, 2024, 4 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Dr. Jesse Colbert and The Reverend Bruce Queen officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Bruce Queen, Jay Skelton, Jason Skelton, Rodney Burdette, Buddy Phillips and Chris Stephens.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the service time. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Sherry Crawford Pitts.
